DALLAS – Although they’ve been in business for more than 26 years, owners Leslie Duncan Blake and Stacey Day continue to be humbled by any honor as a women-owned business, especially when it comes from their own community.
The Collin County Business Press recently ranked Duncan/Day, a full-service advertising agency founded in 1986, No. 11 on its list of the Top Collin County Area Women-Owned Businesses.
“Just to be named alongside some of these other great businesses is a tremendous honor,” said COO Leslie Duncan Blake. “It’s true validation of our team’s hard work.”
The publication also recognized Duncan/Day in 2011, as a Comerica Bank Collin 60 Award recipient and as one of the 16 area companies saluted for their outstanding achievements as part of Capital One’s Celebration of Enterprise.
Always looking to make strides as a women-owned business, the agency was recently recertified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
With its renewed status as a WBE-certified company and having been named one of the top women-owned businesses in the area, Duncan/Day continues to add to its list of awards and certifications.
These other honors and certifications include: Women-Owned Business Enterprise Certification from the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA), the Plano Chamber of Commerce Fred Moses Minority Business Development Award, full certification from the National Women Business Owners Corporation, as well as Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) recognition by the State of Texas.
Duncan/Day is an award-winning, certified women-owned, fully integrated communications firm with more than 26 years of experience. The Plano-based agency works with a variety of local and national clientele and offers services in all areas of advertising, marketing and public relations.
